Privacy Policy

Trade Log is a trading journal and study app. This page explains what it stores about you, why, and what you can do about it. In short: your journal is yours, it's private by default, and we never sell it or show you ads.

What we store

• Your account: your email address. If you sign in with Google, we get your name and email from Google, and nothing else. We never see your Google password, and email passwords are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form by our sign-in provider.
• What you put in the app: journal entries, trades, notes, study sets, settings, and any username you choose.
• Messages and follows: messages you send to other users, who you follow, and who you block.
• Basic account details: when you joined, when you last signed in, and your plan.

How it's used

• To run the app: save your journal and show it back to you on any device you sign in on.
• To keep it safe: limits that stop spam and misuse.
• We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI.

Who can see it

• You. Everything you add is private unless you choose to share it.
• People you share with. Study sets you publish to the library, share links you create, and messages you send can be seen by the people they're meant for.
• The developer, for support. The developer can open an account to fix a problem. Every change the developer makes to your data is logged, and you can ask to see that log.

AI features

• Your own AI key: if you add a key from Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, it stays in your browser on that device. What you ask goes straight from your browser to that company, under their privacy policy.
• Shared AI (by invitation): if the developer turns it on for you, your request goes through our server to Anthropic (Claude) to get the answer. We don't store the conversation.

Services we use

• Supabase: accounts and the database (hosted in the US).
• Cloudflare: hosting the website and the AI server.
• Google: only if you choose "Continue with Google."
• Anthropic: only for the shared AI feature.
• Google Fonts and jsDelivr: the page loads its fonts and one code library from these, so they see your IP address like any website you visit. No tracking.

We don't use analytics, ad trackers or tracking pixels.

Cookies and browser storage

We use your browser's storage to keep you signed in and remember settings like your theme. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Your choices

• Download everything: Settings → Your data → Download backup.
• Change or delete: edit or delete anything you've added at any time.
• Delete your account: contact us and we'll delete your account and all its data.

Age

Trade Log is for people 18 and older.

Trade Log is a self-reported journal and study tool. Nothing in the app is financial advice.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes will also be shown in the app.
